The South Bronx Community Health Leaders Program is always seeking for bright participants that are eager and committed to develop both as an individual and as an essential component of the driving force for the progression of our healthcare field.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must,

Be 18 years or older

Identify with an underrepresented and/or disadvantaged group, in any capacity

Demonstrate an interest in pursuing a profession in health care

Demonstrate a commitment to helping underserved populations

Be enrolled or have graduated from an undergraduate institution

Be willing to volunteer 100 hours over a year, with a minimum of 2 hours a week

Be able to attend the weekly mandatory leadership meetings on Thursdays from 6:00pm-7:30pm
Mission Statement
The South Bronx Community Health Leaders (SBxCHL) is a peer support group that facilitates networking, provides guidance and mentoring, engages in community service with a focus on advocacy, and helps develop the leadership skills essential to becoming a healthcare provider.
